Stephanie Pizzulli is currently working on her degree in Special Education. She is originally from Chester County, but moved to Lancaster county in 2010 with her family. Stephanie is a proud mother of three. She has been working with youth through church programs since she was a teenager and had volunteered with the Lighthouse Youth Center for three years. Stephanie has a creative mind and enjoys hands on activities with individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Stephanie's love of nature, outdoors, and gardening has made her a valued members of our staff. She creates fun and interactive activities for our participants. Stephanie is trained at Olive Branch of Hope in Person-Centered Thinking and she is certified in the same.
Ann Berrios has a Post-Masters Supervisory Certification, M.A. in Special Education, Graduate Certificate in Peace building and Conflict Resolution, BSE in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (PK-12), and Highly Qualified Status in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (7-12).
Throughout her ten years in public education, Ann has practical experience teaching many dynamic students with the exceptionalities of emotional disturbance, autism, specific learning disability, other health impairment, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, mood disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
In addition to being a wife and a mother of two, Ann has extensive experience in designing, planning and implementing instructional and behavioral strategies that help all children improve their academic and social growth to reach their full learning potential.
Luke is currently working on his degree in Special Education. Luke has experience in working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism for over six years through Unified Track, Friendship Community, Life Skills, Autistic support, Learning support, and Emotional support classrooms. Luke is trained at Olive Branch of Hope in Person-Centered Thinking and he is certified in the same. He is therefore qualified to support our participants in learning independent living skills. Luke is excited to be a member of Olive branch of hope group members.
Ojoma Edeh Herr got her PhD from Columbia University. Her training from Bachelor Degree to PhD are all in the field of special education. Ojoma is a proud mother:-) and she has been a university professor of Special Education since 1998. She has extensive knowledge and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), curriculum development, Assessment, research methodologies, including an in-depth knowledge and experience in assistive technology. Before and during her PhD, she was a Special Education teacher for five years and a personal care assistant to youths with cognitive disabilities for four years. Ojoma is deeply involved in the community and has a strong commitment to diversity and multiculturalism using presentational skills for motivating cultural awareness. Her collaborative leadership style and respectful approach to problem solving, makes her successful in reaching youths with difficulties.
Ojoma is an established author who has published several books and articles in the leading journals on topics such as problem-solving, children at risk, and resiliency (to name a few), all with children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Where All Grow
Matthew is currently working on his degree in Special Education. Matthew is originally from upstate Red Hook, NY where he lived with his parents and older brother. When asked why he chose Special Education, Matthew said, "Special Education came to me." Matthew is down-to-earth and connect well with our participants. Matthew is trained at Olive Branch of Hope in Person-Centered Thinking and he is certified in the same. He is therefore qualified to support our participants in learning independent living skills. Matthew is excited to be a member of Olive branch of hope group members.
Donna Fleming, one of the new Olive Branch of Hope staff members, came to us with a wealth of experience and excitement. Donna is creative, open-minded, and diligent. As a Sunday School teacher at her church, Donna teaches and adapts lessons for students from diverse cultural backgrounds with different learning needs. She is friendly and organized and has positive attitudes toward people. Donna is proud pastor's wife, a mother of four grown children, and a grandmother of 11 grandchildren. She has worked at a cardiology practice for 26 years and still works part-time at the same office. In her spare time she enjoys sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and canning produce with her family. Donna is bringing all these qualities with her to serve as an Activities Facilitator at the Olive Branch of Hope.
